Entertaiment is an activity that holds the interest and attention of an audience, and gives pleasure and delight. Entertainment varies in scale, from individual listening to music and dancing to banqueting and theatre designed for thousands. Many forms of entertainment are interlinked – for example, Scheherazade, the story from the Persian professional storytelling tradition, has inspired orchestral works by composers Rimsky-Korsakov, Ravel and Szymanowski; films by Pasolini and others; and an innovative video game. Children’s play is also entertainment (8).
